My favorite days are the ones when we can take our whole family on an adventure. Living in the mountains there are many places close to home that allow our kids to get out and give my husband and I a chance to take in nature. Today while on our family hike I found some [...]
While I am testing my Lacy Fingerless Glove pattern I am doing a little photography. For whatever reason photography is a constant inspiration for me. It probably has to do with how beautiful the simplest things can look if you cut out their surroundings. In photography there are many important aspects but one I put [...]
My whole life, well as long as I can remember, I have loved making flower crowns. As a little girl I never had tiaras or princess dresses. I had to make everything myself. It worked out for the best because rhinestone tiaras were never my type anyway. I think I love the transient quality of [...]

Since I was a child I have always wanted to throw caution to the wind bleach out my hair and dye it some amazing color. Fortunately, I know myself well enough to be aware that what I want is constantly changing. Were I to make the dramatic change I would probably enjoy it for a [...]
I am so in love with the new trend of hand made and vintage. It makes it so easy to re-purpose jewelry, and to keep up with fashion on a tight budget. I have been wanting to re-make or improve a few items. Specifically I wanted to make some metal pieces look oxidized. I [...]

So I have been thinking a lot lately about what inspires me. Usually Winter is the time I spend creating constantly. Summer, usually is my time to absorb. I find inspiration everywhere, much of it comes from things in my home or yard. Here are some photos I took today while trying to look at [...]
Yet another DIY! Summer is a time to create and when summer hits I definitely put down my knitting needles a bit more…THE HEAT! It is hard to knit with even the softest wool fiber when it is close to the triple digits outside. So here is a fun tutorial for those of you who are [...]
