So I have been thinking a lot lately about what inspires me. Usually Winter is the time I spend creating constantly. Summer, usually is my time to absorb. I find inspiration everywhere, much of it comes from things in my home or yard. Here are some photos I took today while trying to look at things from a different angle. I love changing my perspective by taking an ordinary object and looking at it from a different direction or in a new context.

Lace…

More lace…

Yarn…

More yarn. I don’t know why I find yarn so inspiring…I think I am inspired by anything that will allow me to create.

This is by far my favorite of the shots I got. This mushroom was a $12 find at HomeGoods and I love it! I wanted to capture it from a new angle. Get outside and look at your surroundings in a new way.

It’s so funny to see those first photos because just this weekend I bought some vintage lace/eyelet at an antique store and the first thing I did when I got home was hold it up against the window like that! It was so pretty with the sunlight shining through it.. nice post!
